Colonel Peter Petronzio (USMC, retired) brings to Highland’s Board a wealth of experience in strategic planning, budget management, resource allocation and policy development and implementation. After almost thirty years in the Marine Corps, most recently as the Commander of the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, Pete has applied his extensive leadership experience to strategic planning and program management for Tracking Point in Austin, TX, Matrix International in McLean, VA and Blackbird Technologies in Herndon, VA.
Pete served Highland as member of the Head of School Search Committee in 2022-23, and has been a Leadership Series speaker for several years, receiving special recognition for his contributions to that program in May 2024. A native of Massachusetts, Pete and his wife Katherine have made Warrenton their home since his retirement from the Marine Corps. He and Katherine are the proud parents of three Highland graduates: Molly ‘17, Grace ‘21 and Jake ‘24.
